National Stress Awareness Day!
As you may be aware the first Wednesday of November is National Stress Awareness Day.
We all know what it’s like to feel stressed - being under pressure is a normal part of life however, becoming overwhelmed by stress can lead to mental health problems or make existing problems worse.
National Stress Awareness Day is a great opportunity to take a moment to think about our wellbeing and find advice or support on managing stress as well as helping to change a business’s priorities when it comes to health & safety.
We are Clear Quality, a friendly and professional ISO Consultancy firm based in South Yorkshire and operating nationally. Whenever we work with our clients, we always try to incorporate ways to mitigate the amount of stress felt by the employees and everyone involved.
One of our main discussion points is how having ISO 45001 which is centred around health and safety in the workplace can make a difference to personnel. Having ISO 45001 demonstrates that your business is dedicated to doing things the right way and that health and safety is a top priority.
ISO 45001 has several benefits that could help reduce the amount of stress felt in the workplace:
- The system will help increase awareness of health & safety, by ensuring more employees participate and feel safe, taking ownership within their role.
- Increase trust! Once certificated, your business will hold an internationally recognised certificate which will help to set you apart from your competitors, not only that, you are showing that you are actively demonstrating continuous improvement to your employees helping them feel valued and respected within the organisation.
- Implementing ISO 45001 will improve working conditions, which focuses on employee communication and training to improve productivity, in turn, minimise risks.
- Feeling valued at work, staff will become motivated with a greater awareness of health & safety which can reduce absenteeism and increase productivity through staff morale.
- The ISO 45001 standard will aid your understanding of potential hazards that may be associated to your business to help you eliminate these or put control measures in place to minimise the level of risk to your business and more importantly your team.
